Help drilling a short pin Grand Illusion

Hello,

This is what I got going. Mom is a senior bowler, so obviously slower speed that comes with age. She tracks very tight to her thumbhole. Very old school stroker who averages about 172.

She picked up a 13lb. Grand Illusion in a pro am. The ball has very light top weight-2.08 oz. and a short pin-1.5 to 2 inches. She currently throws a track desert heat which naturally only gives her any miss room when the backs ends are toasty dry.

Looking to drill this ball as agressive as possible for her THS league ball. All the balls I've drilled I've never had experience with this short pin, light top weight tight tracking issue. So not sure if we can stack with short pin, light top, tight ball track

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to set her up laying this ball out?

You can stack this ball, no problem.  

Don't even worry about the top weight.  In fact, this may be good for her.  You can shift the grip farther off the label without the use of an extra hole.  No X hole means more back end (usually).

Stack it with the pin up, towards the ring finger/ next to the ring finger, this should be in the flare safe zone.  If she has tiny hands and you think she will have too much finger weight, drill the fingers deep.  Probably drill the fingers deep anyway.

If she needs an X hole, drill it over and down from her grip center.  This should also help the ball stay off the thumb hole.

Don't worry buddy, she will be fine!

i agree with mike i have mine drilled this way and it is a monster on mediums i also track close to the thumbhole and this drilling will be fine. looks something like this with no weight hole.
