Title: Top weight
Post by: lefty50 on March 24, 2007, 10:48:41 AM
What would be considered too low or too high top weight for optimum versatility, and what effect does top weight have overall on current technology equipment?
Thanks

2-3oz of top weight and a 2-3" pin will be very versatile.  You can put the pin high or low, put the CG almost anywhere, and if you're not out of balance yet, a modestly sized weight hole will fix it.  No craters needed.

They say that high top goes longer, just like longer pins.  Dunno how true that is, and it's almost certainly irrelevant for strong asyms.
