Finger inserts question
« on: November 18, 2005, 09:13:36 PM »
I had my werewolf redrilled with some new pitches.  Now, for some reason this ball is the pinkest looking werewolf I've ever seen(owed 5-7 of them).  So, to be funny we put pink inserts in the ball, thumb and finger.

The finger inserts installed were 7/8 outer diameter inserts opposed to the "normal" 31/32 outer diameter inserts.  I don't know if these are considered lady ovals or not, but they feel great.  They are super thin compared to the 31/32 inserts.  My fingers are 23/32nds middle and 11/16 ring.  It is almost like having no inserts but the softness of inserts.

Has anyone else used or tried this??  I will request these from now on.

Andrew,

Are they Vise grips?

I was told that colored inserts are softer than white. Depending upon color, you will get a different feel.

Sorry, Can't answer your question.

Your total bridge(bridge plus insert side thickness) if checked is probably a bit narrower now.  Closer to almost 1/16 or a little more narrower.   I have done this before(7/8 outside diameter) and had some big sets.

Right now I am using no inserts and liking the narrower bridge I display with 1/8 forward in finger holes(to make up for not having lifts).  I have fairly short stubby fingers...my fingers seem to work more in unison

On second thought...it's the pink!

Yes, the grips are vise grips.

Yes, my bridge did narrow some.  I don't know if that is the main issue, but I love the feel.  It is very, very comfortable.
