Hello I was just going t order some Vise v2 Oval thumb inserts and thought I knew what to order but dawned on me maybe tge sizes arnt for width and are for thickness please dont say ask my PSO cause they have no idea about bowling. Just bunch of East Indans who bought the lanes tryING to make money.
So say Vise says it's 1" Oval are they talking width or height?

Depending on the thumb size you need the outer diameter is either 1-1/8 or 1-1/4, the depth is the same for each size.

I believe the measurement refers to the diameter of the hole in the insert.
For example, the 1" size refers to the insert opening being 1" in diameter. The insert itself has an outside diameter of 1.25".

Ok maybe I wrote this wrong. I know my slug needs to be 1.25" but I'm referring to the Vise v2 predrilled oval thumbs. So once I pick 1.25" outer sleeve how do choose the thumb size is it the width of thumb or height of thumb dimension? It not a round so need to knw what they measure so don't order wrong sizes
