So I need some suggestions on weight hole. I have a ball that has 1 1/4 ounce of finger weight and 1 3/4 ounce of side weight. I would like to find the best place for the weight hole that would least effect the ball role. Thanks in advance for the help.

May be hard since you need to take out 3/4 side weight. The shallower the hole the less effects on the core dynamics you will have. You need the hole to be above the center grip line probably 2" or so and over around 3-4" max. Weight hole size will depend on ball weight and size of drill bit. Location will also depend on span. You want the hole to be close to parrallel with your fingers. For most 2-2.5" above the center gripline does that.
How deep are the fingers drilled?

Ring finger is 2 1/2 deep. Middle finger is normal. How deep can i Go down with the fingers.

The fingers can go as deep as you can drill them but you dont want go over half the diameter of the bowling ball. I'd go about 3.5" each then see where your at on top weight.

My pap is 5 3/4" and 3/4" up. How do you think putting a weight hole on pap would be?

It will do nothing for the top weight but will work great for getting out the side weight. As far as reaction it will have some effect on the ball. May not be noticeable though.

The top weight is irrelevant it's buryingthe fingers and killing the core dynamics. Any hole will have an effect on the reaction of the ball in some way.
Were you not planing on putting a hole to adjust the reaction before drilling?

I meant finger weight as mentioned in previous post.

I knew I was going to need a weight hole, but I just started drilling and I am learning about weight hole positions.

Since you are going to have to place a hole....if you were going to increase the reaction you are seeing or getting, how would you change it? You may be able to use a hole to make the overall reaction better.

If it wasnt over on finger weight you could go with other weight hole locations to increase the bowling balls reaction. With the finger weight being over the weight hole needs to be above the center grip line by a bit. A p1 weight hole would work or maybe one slightly above the p1 location.

Don't worry about the finger weight, you can get it in spec by drilling either of the finger holes a little deeper if needed after the side weight is taken care of. Find the P2 location per the instructions in the link already given. It will be close to or on your VAL and probably a little above the midline. Drill the balance hole as needed to get the side weight in spec, reweigh, and if needed drill a finger hole deeper to take care of the finger weight. -- JohnP

Follow what JohnP just stated, and you should be fine.
