Best Quarter Scales....

What's the best layout tool.  Do you like the Spyder, Turbo Pro Sect, or Jayhawk scale....


Never used the spyder, it looks ridiculous....

Me too, but I haven't used the other two mentioned.  An Armadillo is also very useful for layouts that use two ... to PAP distances (5 x 4, for instance).  --  JohnP

The Jawhawk and the Pro Sect are the same except the Pro Sect has the Angle markings on it, which kind of make it more versatile. They both do the same basic things though.

They both do the same basic thing, but they are not the same.  The Pro Sect is much more substantial.  The top ring helps it sit on the ball better.  The regular quarter scale is more prone to cracking than the Pro Sect.

I asked Brunsnick about the Spyder, and while he has never seen one, I have to agree with him - it looks to be flimsy.

Having used a regular quarter scale for a year, I finally broke down and purchased the Pro Sect.  I find it to be much better than the quarter scale.
