Title: What kind of ball reaction to do you get from this type of layout if you are right handed?
Post by: 67camaro on June 22, 2010, 11:40:10 PM
Quick question, I saw a regional pro David Anthony with this type of layout on his ball. What kind of reaction would a right hander get with this type of drilling? The layout that he used was 1:30 4 1/2” to 5” Pin. The hyperlink below gives a picture of the layout, the pic is on the bottom left of the first page.

2010 is the first time joining a league since 1999.  Over a 10 year lay off and haven't lost much of my game.   This year currently HG-279 x 2, HS-733.

Layout works best for me when I can play outside 2nd arrow on fresher backends, once the oil carries down, I have to put it away, doesnt work good for me when I have to open up...I am a little on the speed dominant side, David usually rolls it really slow.

Like any layout, it depends on axis point.  I did a layout similar to this several years ago for a female friend of mine on a Arsenal Aggressive, left at box finish.  On the fresh condition, she tried to throw the ball up 7-8 and the ball went brooklyn.  Ball was trying to hook at the arrows.  Light coat of polish went on and moved her into 10, and she shoots 680 (went into the night averaging 175).  For a low track player, ball will want to roll pretty quickly, as was the case with my friend.  For someone who has a higher track, ball will do just as the rest on here have said length with controlled backend.
