X hole weight
« on: September 03, 2005, 06:46:52 AM »
Generally how much weight does it remove? In a 16lbs ball, how much difference can one one tell between a ball that has one, and one that does not? Most of what I throw has the extra hole but when I use one that does not it seems heavier by feel. I just wondered if it should be something you can feel. To answer the question yes each ball is 16 before the x hole. Thanks for the info.

The weight you removes depends on how large or deep the X-hole is. I dont use Xholes so i cant tell the differense. But you only remove some oz so can be hard to tell a difference. and a 15# isnt always 15#. it can be 15# 3oz so it feels like a 15# when you have put a xhole in it.

azus, I understand there is a few ounces here and there in weight. Would a bowler, who bowls often, feel 3oz in a ball? My x hole size 3/4" by 1 7/8" if that would help.

I think you can feel a difference between a 15# and a 15# 3oz ball. And you can feel a big difference between 15# and 15# 6oz. But you get used to the weights.
