The DV8 Activ8 is a mid-performance ball with a symmetric core and hybrid coverstock. The Activ8 core works with the Composite Fang Hybrid Reactive coverstock to give this ball great length and a flip reaction on the backend when faced with lanes that have broken down. This ball is a great option for high-rev or 2-hand bowlers.

I cannot say enough great things about this ball.  It's controllable, continuous, hits hard, and versatile.  The hybrid coverstock along with symmetric core is a perfect combination.  There are more aggressing hybrids such as the Brunswick Zenith hybrid, but you will gain comfort in this piece from the first time you throw it.

I have used it on short and medium sport patterns, and on a longer league pattern, Kegel Stonestreet.  Actually shot 300 & 800 a short time ago with it on that pattern.  Mine is drilled pin above ring finger with a 35 degree  VAL angle.  Out of the box finish is more than enough to make this ball work the way it is designed.  This can be the first ball out of your bag on many types of lane conditions.
