The DV8 Captiv8 mid-performance bowling ball was designed to dominate medium to dry lane conditions. This bowling ball utilizes the HK22 technology with the Inciter Pearl Reactive coverstock to create superb length and a powerful backend reaction.  DV8 has a new one with the HK22 - Inciter Pearl Reactive is awesome. Drilled mine with a 2inch pin. For me it allows me to play right and straighter down lane with a smooth movement. Have not changed the cover on it, liking what I am seeing so far. If your looking for a low flare ball, this would be a GREAT choice..

I have used it to both short and medium sport patterns as well as Kegel Stonestreet, a longer league pattern.  Actually used it on that pattern a short while ago to shoot 300 and 800.  Mine has a 35 degree VAL angle drilled pin above the ring finger.
