Ball MotionFinished with a High Gloss Polish, the Misfit skids very easily through the front part of the lane to the breakpoint before changing directions for a strong continuous backend that cuts through the pins on medium dry to medium oily lane conditions.
Reaction SetupThe DV8 Misfit can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for bowling balls with asymmetric cores.
Ball MaintenanceTo reduce oil absorption and remove dirt from the surface of the ball, clean your ball with a cleaner designed for reactive bowling balls.

COMMENTS
The Misfit is so much more than an entry level ball. While it is listed as the entry level ball for the DV8 brand, this ball performs better than many mid-range balls I have thrown from other companies. The ball packs an abundance of performance. My final Misfit was drilled up to be used when the lanes were very burned up at the end of a tournament day. We hit the OOB finish with Brunswick Control it, just to try and kill the reaction as much as we could. This ball performs exactly as designed. It gets down the lane even on the lightest of volumes, and makes a smooth controlled reaction on the backend. However, at times there is a slight “jump” at the breakpoint. Usually when I try and drill a ball weaker I have a hard time carrying corner pins because of the weak reaction, but the Misfit has no problem rolling through the pins and generates plenty of carry.
Likes: Very easy length, with smooth controlled reaction.
Dislikes: The tendency to jump off the spot from time to time.
