The DV8 Prowler bowling ball was made to prey on some pins. This ball uses the Divergent core which includes DynamiCore and DOT to offer great power and superb durability. This core is combined with the N-Forcer Plus coverstock which gives length and bite. The core and cover combination glides through the front of the lane and reacts on the backend on medium to heavy lane conditions.

Here is the new upper mid ball from DV8, the Prowler. This ball features a brand new core, the Divergent. This ball is wrapped up with the N-Forcer Plus cover, the same used on the Hitman Enforcer. This ball offers the famous dynamicore to enhance the hitting power to get near the Quantum’s one. This ball also features the brand new DOT, so the raiser pin is located underneath the ball. This technology allows you to drill wherever you want without taking care of the pin placement and wonder about the warranty.
Because I loved so much the Hitman Enforcer, I used the same drilling. The pin is just above the ring finger and the mass bias is just right of the thumb finger.
On the lane this ball clears the heads pretty easily because of the pearl cover. I was also surprised about how much backend this ball got. Compared to the Hitman Enforcer, I play the ball about the same but the shape is different. The Prowler has more length and backend. Compared to the Notorious, I play the Prowler 3 boards right with my feet and 2 boards right with my eyes. The Notorious rolls a couple feet sooner and cover more boards because of the dull surface. I think this is the most backend I got with a DV8 ball.
The ball comes with a crown factory compound finish. But like all the other DV8 covers, the N-Forcer plus is very versatile. It can be padded with a 1000 grit or even 500 grit pad for speed dominant or when you want to play heavier patterns.
To conclude, if you want to have a big backend ball and a ball that can clear the heads pretty easily, the Prowler is your choice.

The Prowler is a must have ball featuring the new Dynamicore technology! I drilled mine 45x4.25x30. This ball is comparable to the Hitman Enforcer but, I have a stronger motion down lane! I feel this is the strongest backend ball DV8 has ever come out with. The Prowler is great for heavy to medium oil conditions. This is always the first ball out of my bag it is a great benchmark ball. If you want to play in or out on the lane this ball provides you with all angles to the pocket. The deeper you get on the lane it just keeps coming back! If you want to shoot some big scores get yours today you won’t be disappointed!

The DV8 Prowler is the newest ball in DV8's $$$$$ price point. This ball features DOT Technology, backed by an industry leading 4 year warranty. It also features Dynamicore, which definitely adds to the hit and carry of this ball.
I went with my typical layout of 30 x 4 1/4" x 40, and my first thought on this ball is super clean. This ball glides through the heads storing max energy for the backend. I have this ball a tick longer yet not quite as quick off the friction as the Hitman Enforcer. I definitely feel like the Prowler can handle a little more volume than my Enforcer can as well. There definitely has been a few times where I wished I could have the Enforcer shape on a little more volume, and thats what Ive gotten from the Prowler.
I will add too that the Prowler and the Notorious pairs very well as a 1-2 punch. Add a touch of surface to the Notorious, and you could easily handle most hvy to med hvy conditions with those 2 balls.
Overall, if you are looking for a skid flip type reaction, add to it Dynamicore and DOT technology, and you have what I feel is the best skid flip ball on the market right now.

DV8 Prowler is a new ball in the DV8 line. This new pearl coverstock ball is an angular monster. If you loved the Vandal or the Vandal Strike, then you are going to love the new DV8 Prowler. Built with the N-Forcer Plus coverstock, The Prowler gives any bowler added length and tremendous backend reaction. This ball works best on medium conditions and extremely well when you have to open the lanes up. With the addition of the new DOT Technology and Dynamicore, The Prowler is definitely making its mark in the DV8 line.

Drilled my Prowler with the pin tall over ring with the mass bias just covered by my thumb hole which should be about 70x5x30. I was late to drill this ball, as I got it as a replacement for my Squatch, which was damaged.
The Prowler fills a very similar need in my bag to the Squatch but with just a pinch more traction and shape down the lane. The slightly asymmetric core and what appears to be a slightly stronger textured cover lets me reach for the Prowler a few frames sooner than I would with the Squatch. The stronger motion down the lane also allows me to keep my hand behind the ball a bit more and keep my speed firmer while still being confident in seeing my ball shape.
In terms of position in my bag, the Prowler gives me slightly above average length with a very strong arcy shape on the back end that remains very controllable despite how many boards it covers. It gets a lot of playtime for me and is in my bag on everything but short oil - usually making an appearance after a few games when my dull balls begin rolling early. The strong cover prevents it from being too skid/flippy or sensitive transitioning from wet to dry even for a ball which can make the corner from deep inside angles.
The Prowler is a step cleaner than my Method hybrid and Hero (drilled stacked), but still picks up earlier than my Jagged Edge Hybrid or Mag035 Pearl. I highly recommend this ball for anybody looking for a versatile ball for medium lanes.
