DV8 Grudge Pearl
70x4.5x30

The first thing you notice about the Grudge Pearl is that it has a lot of shelf appeal. This one is quite the looker. The Violet/Black/White cover looks nice on the shelf and even better on the lanes. The color combo comes in handy to help read the ball reaction too. You can really see where it starts to rev up and make the turn.
As for ball reaction... this ball delivers! The Grudge Pearl is 2-3 feet longer than the Hybrid with more backend hook and continuation. This one offers that trademark, heavy Grudge roll through the pins and, although it's a Pearl ball, it's not a skid/snap ball. It has more of a strong rounded shape. Just like all of our composite coverstocks, this one takes surface changes really well. During a recent tournament I hit the surface with a 2000 grit Siaair pad. We were bowling on a longer pattern using Ice oil and I wanted to get the ball to slow down just a touch quicker. The added surface gave me just the traction I needed and provided me with even more confidence that I could stay aggressive with the ball.

If you are looking for a great performing ball that also looks great, this is it. I have used the ball for about 3 weeks now and all I can say is that it lives up to the hype. It is cleaner and stronger throughout the lane for me than theHybrid version was. I needed a replacment for my Radical Guru Limited and this was a perfect choice. this ball raads the lane perfectly and is not to snappy. Makes THS look easy, stand left throw right, even shots pulled in still carry real well.

Having all 3 of the grudges, all laid out the same. The pearl is by far the longest and strongest for me down lane, the hybrid is great in the mids, and the solid upfront. IMHO the pearls hits the hardest and carries the best. I have found that I can use the pearl on multiple shifts, and is the most versatile of the 3.

The Grudge Pearl compliments the Solid and Hybrid great. out of the 3 this by far for me the ball with strongest backend reaction. Drilled mine up 45x5x45 have thrown 2 300's with it OTB. With the NEW factory polish I no longer get that over under read(great job on the Polish). If you looking for a ball with backend motion and awesome hitting power this one be the one to choose.. Enjoy throwing DV8

Drilled my Grudge Pearl using my favorite Asym layout 50x5x45 (pin up).
I really like my Grudge and found the Hybrid to be a little too straight in oil, but very responsive to dry and was worried that the Pearl would also be sensitive.  The Grudge Pearl gives me average length with a nice move downlane which covers some serious territory, yet is still controllable.  I am a bowler who would rather be ahead of transition than panicking to make moves to catch up to a pair and the Grudge Pearl plays perfectly into my game as I can cheat left with this ball and not worry about leaving 2-10's by blowing way through the breakpoint.
The Grudge Pearl is the compliment that I needed for my original Grudge, giving me a few more feet of length to save a little more energy on the backend for when I get my feet left.

Compared to other balls in my bag, the Grudge Pearl is closest to my Ultimate Nirvana, but just a tiny bit longer and stronger around the corner.  The Grudge Pearl is a bit stronger than my Brainiac and definitely lets me cheat further into the oil than I can with any of my midrange equipment.

So far I have used it on a variety of house patterns, 41' Beaten Path, 36' Challenge Pattern and a 45' Long pattern.  The longer the pattern and the further I get my feet left, the better this ball looks.  My reaction on short was pretty suspect, but I expected that with a pin up pearl on 36' and I have had a surprisingly good look from game 2 on trying to shut my angles down on some top hatted house patterns.

I recommend the Grudge Pearl for anybody looking for a ball to be used primarily from inside angles on medium/heavy oil whether that be on longer sport patterns or on a house condition.
