Pro shop raffle winner
« on: March 17, 2014, 08:40:17 PM »
I currently won my local pro shops raffle so I'm entitled to a new ball I've been doing research on the dv8 and have read reviews about them and like what I see so I'm looking into the brand. I'm not new to bowling but I'm not on a league but do want to join one. I currently have a hammer arson, Brunswick slingshot and a spare ball of trying to bring my Average up and I'm looking to replace my arson. I only get to pick what he has in stock which is currently the endless and brutal nightmare the reckless and the ruckus. Any suggestions?

There are so many variables nowadays in bowling that asking for suggestions without knowing a single thing about your stats is useless. Not being rude just saying there's more needed information.

I understand that my average is about 175, speed is about 14-15, Rev rate is average I couldn't tell you exactly what it is though. The arson was a friend of mine and so I just had new inserts put it since it fit well I could not tell you about the drilling for the slingshot. Like I said I'm not a beginner per say but I don't know all my stats since I'm not on a league but I'm looking to join one.

receiving a ball from friend aye. Im guessing your throwing 2 fingers, but anyways i dont believe whatever ball you choose will make you bowl better. If you want to raise your average you just have to practice your game and learn about it. Balls just give different angles and besides its just a house shot no need for many balls.

I depends on how much hook you are looking for in the new ball. In order of hook, they would be Endless Nightmare, Ruckus, Brutal Nightmare, Reckless. If you are looking for a similar reaction to the Arson, I would suggest the Reckless. Or if you like the colors, the Brutal Nightmare would be a good alternate. Both of these balls have a hybrid cover which will even out the reaction. The Endless Nightmare might be too strong of a ball since you are more of a beginner.
