Just got back in bowling after 10 years. I have marauder and nigjtmare and love them. I see they sell ball cleaners. Which do you suggest and how often do you use them.

Ideally you should clean your ball after every session. There are a lot of good ball cleaners on the market but I personally like using Powerhouse Power Wash after every session and Powerwash Clean & Dull every 30 games or so as a deep cleaner. Storm's Reacta Clean, Neo-Tac Hook it, Ultimate Black Magic Rejuvenator and if you can still find it Lane Masters High Performance Ball Cleaner is great too.

Thanks jp. Game has changed alot since i was 1 of 3 in my house averaging 200. Now everybody is averaging 200 seems like.

For use during bowling, I prefer Valentino's Remedy RX:

For use after bowling or every 15 - 30 games use Powerhouse's Clean and Dull or Brunswick's/Neo-Tac's Hook-It.

+1. Valentino's makes some of the best cleaners on the market today. Remedy RX is my go-to cleaner after league nights. Plus it is approved to use during league/tournament play.

Currently on my phone and having problems searching. Which Val product is used for getting oil off the ball? For use after bowling a game or league to help slow the oil absorbtion process.

Remedy is their daily Cleaner.
Resurrection is an abrasive compound used to clean the surface with a medium abrasive, like a milder Rough Buff. By hand it leaves an 800 grit CAMI or approximately P1600 grit FEPA finish. On a spinner, it will polish that P1600 grit finish to a shine. It's a moderate "deep" cleaner, if you think of Clean and Dull to Hook-It as a "deep" cleaner, with hand pressure breaking down the abrasives. (C&D and Hook-It are pure non-abrasive cleaners; Resurrection is also a surface refresher.)
See their web site explanation: http://valentinobowling.com/resurrection.html (http://valentinobowling.com/resurrection.html)

You CAN buy one of those ready made cleaners if you don't mind throwing money away. It's kind of like paying for already mixed anti-freeze, you're paying for water.
All cleaners are a detergent, a surfactant, and a carrier for the two. I have found that a 33% Simple Green Concentrate, 33% Isopropyl Alcohol (98%), and 33% tap water to be most effiecient and the equal of most pre-mixed cleaners. Give it a try.

Cool I will try both the remedy and the homemade. I rarely through anything with surface, especially todays hook monsters but after drilling a Burning Siege and Paranormal I want to keep them as fresh as possible before having them baked.

Our main website is not the most user friendly on mobile phones. Just picked up a Nexus 4, and realized we need to optimize it for phones.
For mobile just head to the shopping cart
