Misfit Pearl
« on: January 26, 2013, 10:52:16 AM »
For those who have thrown it, I have a question.

Is this ball the answer for me when the heads break down and I'm having trouble getting anything else through them? I'm looking for something that will get through them easily and maintain some energy to turn the corner.

If it were up to me I'd order one right now, as I think it'd be exactly what I'm looking for. But I figured now that some of you guys may have thrown it I would double check and ask if it does in fact, perform as advertised...I know my Brutal Nightmare does!

Lmk!

Best way I can describe this ball is fairly allergic to oil, but a monster response in the dry. When I was testing the 3 new DV8 balls in an 8 gamer, I was using the Diva and it was starting to read the lane too early. I switched to the Misfit Pearl, moved 2 boards right thinking it would be right move and it went runaway brooklyn... I was dumbfounded... This ball is the absolute most angular ball on the market for the price, it'll recover from just about anywhere if you have friction.

Awesome. Carry down typically isn't an issue, just dried up heads, so that sounds just about perfect. Ordered.

This ball again lives up to the hype.  I went and tried mine this morning on leftover league shot from last night.  Brought my Yellow/Magenta Misfit and my Pearl.  Once I warmed up I threw the Misfit up the track.  It grabbed at the arrows and missed the head pin left.  Tried the Pearl on the same line.  Same reaction only it got down the lane a bit further..  Move about 15 boards left with my feet targeting 20 at the arrows and just trying to get the ball to the right...  Misfit got thru the heads clean but checked up early.  Just couldnt seem to feed it far enough right.  When I did it was overthrown and puked downlane... Enter the Pearl.  Without a doubt the best dry lane reaction I've ever seen.. This ball cleared the heads easily and I had no problem getting the ball to the breakpoint.  A few shots I even missed right to about the 3 board and the Pearl turned left and struck everytime.  The biggest thing I noticed was the carry!  Usually even dry lane balls on the toast have nothing left at the pins playing that deep..  The pearl made this shot look like a houseshot..  This ball is gonna make me alot of money!!  This ball will never leave my bag.. Its that good.
