Title: Brutal Nightmare layout
Post by: vkowalski1970 on February 23, 2013, 10:23:24 AM
Well finally got my stats...High Tilt, didnt realize but makes sense as too what I see when things break down. also my PAP changed since we have changed finger pitches

I traded for this ball and would like to set it up to be clean upfront with a nice hard arc to the pocket, not a snap, but a hard move......I want compliment my Soul which is 60x4 7/8x30 based on new PAP

any recommendations would be great, again want to compliment the Soul.

PAP 5 3/8 over  5/8 up
Tilt: 27 degrees
Rotation: 45-60
Speed 15.5
revs 325/350

When you say you want it to compliment your Defiant Soul, Im assuming the Soul would be the snappier of the 2?  Honestly I dont have any experience throwing the Soul but i have watched it alot.  The Brutal and Soul would be very comparible OOB.  Assuming that the Brutal is gonna be a little less snappy I would go with something pin down in the 5 inch range.  You seem to like the 50-60 degree drill angle so I would stay with that.  60x5x60 I would try.  Something that puts the pin down for you on the Brutal will compliment the Soul very well and definitely be a very strong arc.  Hope this helps.

The soul isn't very snappy but at ob surface it gets up a but earlier. I was thinking about trying to get the ball down lane farther. Kind of a small step down.

In that case i would close up the drilling angle a bit if it were me.  Maybe go 70x5x30.  You may have to tweak some surface on both balls to get em where you want.
