The Dude is stronger in the midlane with a smooth transition to friction. And, the Diva Pearl will go longer and finish harder when reaching the friction.

I bought the dude. Very happy. Basically I have a great bag for all conditions. My nightmare @1000abralon is for fresh heavy. Very strong and continuous yet is clean through the front. Hellraiser terror oob makes a very controllable continuous break . Favorite ball. Still needs a little oil under it to not hook too much. Dude was a little angular oob. So I took it to 4000abralon and its perfect. House shot killer. I should receive my red orange misfit today. Going to be my light oil ball. Or broken down lane ball. Going to do a Weaker drilling

Tattooer, Glad to hear that the Dude is working good for you. It is always a good thing to change surfaces to get a better reaction. You have a good 4 ball arsenal right now. Keep up the good bowling.

Love the predictability of the Dude. . .especially at my home house which has torched backends.

Pin in the middle finger. 4 3/4" pin to pap.  Cant remember the angles off the top of my head though.  Have it at OOB surface. . well it was. ...thats the only thing I wish this ball had ...was less need for maintenance.  I have about 12 games on it and my track is getting pretty darn dull.  Time to invest in some royal shine.

Pretty certain it was like 55x 4 3/4 x 60 or 55x 4 5/8 x 65. . something around there.  The continuation and mid lane read is what made me fall in love with this ball.  Hits like a tank.  Harder than anything else in my dv8 arsenal as far as on a ths.

would the diva be considered more consistent? i love the dude but it seems for 5 or 6 frames this ball will be lights out good and then will start to jump all around on me

I understand what you mean however I don't know if I would call it consistency when I first started using the Dude it was a little bit to angular and after six games like you say it may just be a little too snappy for the condition so what I did was took off the Polish and sanded the cover to 4000 grit and now it is one of the most predictable balls and Rose controllable balls I have ever thrown if it is getting unpredictable for you try a surface change

Hey stated he has it at 2000. But personally I've never liked pin up layouts on my dv8 gear. All their coverstocks get through the heads easy enough. I'm a pin in the middle finger guy (or ring if you have a 4 1/2+ pap.

Oh didn't see that . I have two dv8 balls pin in ring and I agree with you there. My other two are pin up and they work great for me. I am rev dominant so I tend to require conservation of energy
