Thanks for the uploads. Makes it tough to decide on 1 ball when so many good ones are coming out, might have to find a way to swing it to get 2

Freakshow seems like a no brainer... ;)

It might be

Word is the Freak show is the Melee Jab in disguise. So yeah at that price it would be a no brainer.

I second the Freakshow as a no brainer! I have used mine on brand new synthetics, 43ft 25mL 11.5:1 house shot using Kegel Ice and it looked great right from the start. I could play 15-8 with ease. Took it to a wood center using a 44ft 27mL 12:1 pattern and it was like nothing changed. This ball is very impressive! Definitely a Melee Jab in disguise. I've been tempted to see how it would look with a 4000 Siaair pad but I really like how it is out of the box. Should be a THS Killer

Any word on how the Composite Pearl cover from the Diva XOXO and Deviant Pearl compares to the Class 6V on the Freak Show?
-
Yep freak show looked the best for that bowler on that pattern.

What if had zero luck with the jab and it just takes space in my storage now? If this ball is anything like that I'm a lil bit hesitant now

The Melee Jab is a very popular ball in the Brunswick line and they are, mostly, comparing these two for the type of reaction to friction. I, personally, had a so-so look with the Jab. I liked the shape, but never really matched up with it. Plus, I already had equipment to cover that look and decided to shelf it. Many of my friends lit it up with theirs. For me, the Freakshow is a perfect match. I compared it to my Jab and the reaction was a little longer than the Jab and had a similar change if direction on the backend. For cost and performance it is very much a ball like the Wrecker from Roto Grip. In my opinion...This isn't a carbon copy of a Melee Jab, but more of DV8's take on a ball that has similar characteristics. At the OOB surface the Freakshow will be more for medium light conditions or patterns with a defined friction spot. Where the Melee handles a little more volume OOB. Just my take.

Thanks for the further input...this ball is #1 on my hit list but heard that and was kinda curious

In terms of Jab compared to Freakshow, that didn't come to mind at all while testing it. Freakshow reacts to friction more quickly and is more punchy downlane. Specs aside, they roll differently. Core shapes are quite different. On a house shot, most balls are going to cover similar boards, but these shapes are pretty different in my eyes.

Threw my Freakshow last night on 45' Route 66 and it split the difference between my Jab (strong sym pearl) and original Hooligan (weak sym pearl). I had the front 9 game 3 with nearly unlimited hold, and no worries of jumpiness off the friction like my Fanatic. Its overall hook and roll reminded me of the original Marauder

Thanks for the feedback. I'm sure it's helpful for people to get info on the relationship of other balls they might have in their bag.
