DV8 help with Reckless, Misfit and Too Reckless.
« on: December 08, 2011, 01:33:28 PM »
I have a Reckless which is amazing. Then got a Misfit(red/blue) drilled identical to the Reckless to be a one two punch with the Reckless. At box finish the Misfit was a little too long and angular down lane for me to control. I took a 2000 abralon pad to the Misfit to knock the shine off the ball, and man this ball is perfect. It still clears the heads cleaner then the Reckless, but really revs up strong and finishes down lane.

My question is, how much, or what would be the difference between the Misfit and the Too Reckless?

I'm still getting a Too Reckless, but have a different drilling/look in mind I'm going with because of how great the Misfit is.

The Too Reckless is a solid version on the Reckless. (Not 100% positive) made for medium/heavy oil. The Misfit believe it or not, is a Medium/Light oil ball.

PAP- 4in right, 2in up of center of grip.
Rev Rate-400ish
Ball Speed 18.0-19.0 mph
I score well with a slight chicken wing
Arsenal:
Storm VG Nano
DV8 Hell Raiser
DV8 Reckless
DV8 Misfit- Orange and Blue, Light scuff with scotch bright to smooth out reaction

Right, the Too Reckless appears to be a step down from the Reckless. Just curious how much difference between the Too Reckless and Misfit. The Misfit seems to handle its own pretty well when drilled identical to the Reckless.

The Too Reckless also comes at 4000+polish while the Reckless is at something more like Rough Buff...

I'm sure you've drilled your too reckless already. How much do you love it? I love mine.
According to Robert Lawrence "This is the most angular ball that Brunswick/Dv8 has made... so far."
The ball comes at 500 grit high gloss polish according to the dv8 website.
