Mine cracked from the pin to the ring finger. Nobody has come into the shop I work in saying it has happened to theirs though.

DV8 has a 2 year warranty and should replace it. This actually reminds me to call them and find out...lol

Make sure the pro shop bevels the finger holes a little before gluing in the inserts. That will help prevent most cracking in that area.  That being said, sometimes balls just crack and Brunswick/DV8 is great with replacements when warranted.

I have yet to see any crack around here, but it's always a possibility with any ball nowadays.

Brunswick just told me to plug it and my shop does bevel the holes. Mine cracked off of the ring finger also has spider web cracking around fingers. I had the same problem with some off the Morich balls in the past, the  Brunswick guy said that cause the core is so big it might happen. I just sucks that I put the money out for a ball and five months later I gotta put more money out to fix it.

Sometimes those tiny cracks around the fingers get worse and need to be plugged, and I've seen some go for years without getting worse.  I usually don't repair them unless they get worse and start coming apart.

My new Nexxxus got some machine damage at the edge of the finger hole (chip) and I'm not touching it unless/until it gets worse. The Damage at this point is cosmetic.

I would bring it to the shop you got it from and see if their distributor will replace it. I was just gonna try to go through Brunswick because it takes longer the other way.

bigdaddy1808,

The ball is still under warranty provided that it wasn't drilled too close to a pin. Not sure who you talked to at Brunswick, but feel free to PM me and I'll help you with the easiest way to get it warrantied.

My guess is the glue. Since going away from inserts I have had zero finger hole area cracks. Id always try and glue my inserts and thumb slugs where no glue touches the outer coverstock layer. Its made a huge difference with my thumb slugs.

I agree with kidlost2000.  About 2 years ago I started gluing everything lower in the hole, below the coverstock.  All my issues went away.  Super Glue does not work well with coverstocks.

The cracking is not where the glue is

Is it around your fingers? If you use inserts that is where the glue is.

Mine was cracked from the pin to the ring finger. I took it out of my bag to use it Saturday, and it was cracked all the way around the ball...lol. Oh well.
