Title: Hellraiser v. Virtual Gravity Drilling advice needed
Post by: ccrider on January 19, 2012, 09:45:07 AM
I finally gave in and purchased a Hellraiser. I am planning on drilling it similar to my Virtual Gravity--5x4 pin under.

How can I expect the two balls to compare.

I would say that the Hell Raiser would be a longer down lane due to its Hybrid cover.  Should be similar ball shapes depending on how many games you have on you Virtual.  The 2 should compliment each other pretty well.

+1. I'd personally drill it a little stronger to get it to roll closer to the gravity.

The hellraiser should give you a little more length.

As far as layout, you never really said if you want it to compliment the virtual or replace it. Using the same layout will probably get you a little more length. Would be a good option when the lanes start to transition and you need to open it up. Using the same layout should give you a different look.  If you want the same shape, might need to tweak the layout or surface.

The hellraiser is a great ball.

I want to use the Hellraiser behind the Virtual Gravity once the lanes Brel down and the Virtual Gravity is too much.   It sounds like I should be able to do this using the same pin under drilling.
