Title: Help with my DV8 line up
Post by: MelvinBrunsTrack on January 31, 2016, 07:06:48 PM
Hello everyone. I just need some advise on my Arsenal . I have not been bowling for 2 years and I will be bowling next fall season. Practicing now and I purchase and drilled up 2 balls. I need advise if I have a big gap in my line up.

1. DV8 Thug ( orange and silver)
2. DV8 Vandal
3. DV8 marauder madness. Ball I used a couple of years ago. I got the ball cleaned up and de oiled.

Any advise would be great. Looking forward getting back in league.

Thanks in advance.

You might need a ball stronger than the thug, and one weaker than the marauder..

I suggest the strong one be a solid. No polish
Thug unrulys are $80 at buddies....
What are

I was just looking at the radical supreme. I am thinking that would be a good strong ball.

I agree, you are lacking a stronger ball for oil. The Thug Unruly is a great ball and a steal at that price. If you want to get something hot off the presses and something that uses the new Composite Coverstock technology, you want a Grudge. You may want to look into an Outcast or Hooligan for the low end of your arsenal

You can go to DV8's Facebook page and read the Bowlers Journal review of the new Grudge.

I would agree that getting a Radical Guru Supreme or Thug Unruly would give you a heavier oil ball above the Thug. The new Grudge is stronger overall compared to the Thug Unruly and Guru Supreme.

If you are looking to replace the marauder madness, I would suggest a Deviant. It would have a similar reaction with more snap on the back part of the lane.

I can't recommend the Grudge enough as the strong ball in your bag. I've had mine for a couple of weeks now, and it gives me all the power I need. If you're looking for an oiler that actually maintains some versatility, that's the ball you want!

Well guys after during my research and getting advise from you all here. This weekend getting Grudge and Thug corrupt as my 2 strong piece. Different layout though. Now one more advise. Have anyone ever put a little shine on the corrupt? Not a lot of polish but some shine but still have the teeth to get through oil. I like changing surface of the ball. I also will check with my ball driller also and see what he says. Thanks everyone. I am like a little kid with toys. LOL

The Corrupt looks great with polish. Still strong. I've sanded and polished mine...takes to changes really well.
