Hellraiser = HELL AND BACK

This ball oob first 2 games didnt impress me nut once I broke threw the polish it didnt just come alive it got stupid. This ball is so angular and hooks so much it does not make sence it over all out hooks my raptor on ths clean in front and out of this world in the back. The final thing i have to say is what ten pin? this ball didnt leave me a single loner ten pin the only ten pins i left had friends when i sofened on the speed and ball jumped threw the face. By the way ball is drilled pin 6.5 from pap and mb is 3/4 inch from thumb. ======wow 
 
 
My specs 17.5 to 18 mph  475 revs and 11 degrees tilt

SInce it was known to have a very strong backend, why did you drill it so flippy?
ANd why such a long pin to PAP?
Sounds like you should have bought the more reasonable and more controllable Reckless, which is not a weak ball by any stretch of the imagination.

Want to try something with control get a Misfit. I had mine drilled pin in ring finger and oh my this ball is great. It's not snappy it's a even arch and hits a ton.

I also have a Herr Raiser at my pro shop, and will it have drilled next week (hopefully). I am curious how itchy and angular the ball is for me and my game. Never had much luck recently with high end balls - but the HR will be a new venture into this realm. I hope for its higher RG to push well downm the lane, and I think about having it drilled rather angular (5" pin to PAP, maybe slightly more, pin above fingers and MB at 90°). But I will listen to my ball driller - he knows his trade, because I want to avoid an uber-itchy, spasmic piece. Length and snap is OK and desired, but I won't max it out. The ball seems to be STRONG, whatsoever, so I have much respect for its potential.

Glad to hear all the good reviews of these DV8 balls.  I have one of all three coming and am looking forward to trying these out on Sport patterns.  I will let everyone know how they roll once i receive them.

i bought this ball in hopes it would be very flippy like my 607 was so i s\got more than i was expecting i love it. complements all my rolly motiv stuff

Yet I drilled mine with the pin over the ring finger and it's one of the snappiest backend balls I have ever owned. Gotta find a way to tone it down.

 will this ball work for the lower rev guys. I've heard some say you have to have a lot of rev to get this to work.

i believe it will. bowling ball . com did a review with a guy with lover revs throwing it and it seemed to still turn over in the backend.

Did a few shots with a friend's Hell Raiser last Friday, and even though it did not fit well (thumb hole much too big) and I could not hold it properly I was impressed by the ball's behaviour. Seems to go pretty well through the heads, very sharp break point. Broke a bit early, due to ridden lanes, yet the ball retained surprisingly much energy in the pins. I AM impressed and will probably have mine punched up next Wednesday. Looks promising, at least when new and OOB.

 

Brunswick seems to push these things, because they throw around with promo stuff (towels, caps, stickers) when you buy one?

I drilled one for a guy last night, wanted agressive ball, so we drilled it 35 x 4.25 x 25 and ball didnt disappoint, very clean up front and one of the strongest backend moves I have seen in a long long time, thrown against his similarlly drilled nano the HR was easily 3 feet longer and 8-10 boards more on the backend, he threw first ball and turned around and the smile said it all, very distinct ball movement
