I think the Madness will be a little more angular downlane than the Maxxed Out.  Maxxed Out could be on its way out of the line after this year with the new releases so you may be able to pick one up at a lower price than the Madness.

Looking at the spot you want to fill, I would suggest the Marauder Madness. The Maxxed-out reads the midlane stronger and might be too similar to the nexus f(p+f) in reaction shape. The Marauder Madness would be a step above a versa-max in reaction by having a stronger reaction to the friction, aka more angular. Plus, the surface can easily be changed on the Marauder Madness to a lower grit than the 4000 box finish or polish can be added if you need a little more length.

If it were me. Go with the Madness. I got the Marauder Madness and love it. It is a good ball with the right type of drilling to suit your game. Soon I'm going to get the Marauder Hybrid.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.
