Returning to bowling after 4-years
« on: March 09, 2016, 04:42:05 PM »
I was a high track tweener around 15mph.  I bought a DV8 Unruly thug on clearance new for like 80$.  I have yet to drill it.   I am deciding if I should go pin up or down.  I will be bowling on sport shot leagues and 1 THS 40ft low volume.

Also  What other two balls would you get to compliment this one?

I was thinking a Hooligan taunt and maybe a ?????

I am new to dv8 and have never owned stuff from them.   My lat bowling bag was   Rotogrip defiant, mutant cell, mutant cell pearl,  shooting star, rising star.

I am thinking 3 will be plenty until I start bowling in tournies/sweepers again.

Vandal or Outcast.

Vandal would be more than Hooligan Taunt but less than the Unruly.

Outcast would go under Hooligan Taunt

I would grab a Vandal and the Outcast as well.  The Vandal is a must have bowling ball in general and is a great stronger benchmark piece.  The Outcast would give you the ability to cover the lighter conditions.

Vandal.

As far as whether pin up or down, what worked best for you before?

I drill ALMOST everything for myself pin down (and tweak the surface as needed) because I like it for my crazy game... ;)

Welcome back to the sport.

Thanks I got to bowling my first games on Monday.  I was 608 after 3 ona  house shot.  Later that night I came back after leagues were done and was 530 after 3 on the Soeul Pattern after the scratch league.  This was with my old 716c redrill for sarge easter.  I was a high track tweener... Now I am a low track tweener.  Are my drilling layouts and pin position going to be much different as a low/mid track player now?
