nano vs. revenge

One of my teammates has both these drilled similar.  The nano is stronger and has more power it seems. The revenge doesn't move hardly at all in any kind of oil where as three nano does.  Revenge leaves lots of 10s. Just from what I've seen

A friend of mine that use to be on the Storm and is now on the DV8 staff said the Revenge is 6-8 boards stronger for him compared to the Nano's.

I had both, sold the nano because it was to unpredictable at the breakpoint for an oiler ball. The revenge may not look fancy when it hooks, with the hockey stick shape, but it out hooks the nano i had by about an arrow and is much much more controllable. It does leave 10 pins if there isn't enough oil on the lane, but then you can just put it away and grab another DV8 piece.

The testing staff at Bowlers Journal International stated that the Revenge is 4-6 boards STRONGER than ANY other ball they have tested.

The Hell Raiser Revenge is stronger from what I've seen.  I heard it's currently the best selling ball by a big margin.

I've seen the Revenge thrown by 2 different people in our house and haven't been impressed, neither one finishes well.. I have the Nano and Defiant and they both have continuation thru the pin deck.... Layouts on the revenges are similar to what I have on mine...

I had both and sold the Nano. The Revenge is 4-5 boards stronger then the Nano. I put the big crank drill on the Revenge which is pin under ring at 5 inches x 70 x 60. The Nano was drilled pin above ring and mas bias in the strong position. Hands down the Revenge is the strongest ball I have seen. You NEED oil for this ball to work. I am  further left with my feet and target than I have been all season.

I think it's worth reminding many of the readers on this website that these high performance bowling balls are designed for OILIER lane conditions. Granted your ball speed, rev rate, axis rotation, etc., makes a difference as well.  If you are using a ball of this type on a lane condition thats drier you may not see the results you're looking for.

I have drilled 3 revenges for differeent people thus far. I would not recommend it because of how brittle the coverstock seems to be. each time the drill bit touches the ball. chucks go flying. get something with a tougher coverstock. storm vivid or nano solid. roto grip defiant or critical theory. Hammer Taboo silver. Ebonite pursuit-s.

i have the nano solid and pearl.  like them both, but both seem to labor in carry down.  or maybe it's just me.  how does the revenge finish in carry down???

The Revenge is really strong.  It would sooner burn up in dry lanes than get shy in the carrydown.

Agreed, there are two reads I get when not striking with my Revenge, there's the read on fresh when the ball is too strong for the line or the pattern, checks up early and finishes hard usually going through the face :)
 
Then theres the I made a good shot and it quit hooking look, time to put it away.
 
Either way, it will for sure tell you when its time to make a huge move or a ball change.
 
When on the right condition this is by far the strongest ball I have ever thrown.
