Title: New Arsenal for 2019-20 season
Post by: Bowl_Freak on July 18, 2019, 08:33:14 AM
Received most of my new arsenal so far. Notorious, Prowler, Instigator, Fearless, Poison Pearl, Conspiracy. Poison is supposed to be here today, and the Conspiracy Hybrid will be here on Monday. All won off Ebay at significant discount. Nothing more than $80/shipped and most were in the 60-70.  ;D ;D ;D ;D.

It still amazes me that Big B hasn't got that under control, every single release from any of the brands in the family can be had on Ebay for cheap like you got them. Proshops near me won't even consider stocking a Big B ball because of it.

Why is this happening? Brunswick and their umbrella has the shortest shelf life in the industry.

Its probably bc they are manufactured in Mexico at a much lesser cost than the other brands so they can discount after 6months and not suffer much loss so they can pump out more products every 4-6 months

As think it was North said best, the Ross dress for less business model.  Oh well pretty nice getting the Bias for what a mid priced ball costs.

Just diminishing their brand if you ask me.

I bet they don't care since bowling equipment is not their main focus anyways. Brunswick isn't solely in the bowling business as many know.

Eh, it still comes down to making money regardless of what other markets the company competes in. Seems like they still are in the profit with the way things are going.

Brunswick the company IIRC generates more revenue than every other bowling company combined.  But as said earlier mostly because of non bowling markets.

But Phil says in his monthly FB feeds that Radical is selling great. Yet all I see is a lot of marked down Brunswick umbrella products all the time...Northface is right has to be the shortest shelf lives in the industry.

I don't know who is right but in my neck of the woods, Washington, DC, VA, and Baltimore,MD.......we got a ton of folks throwing Radical equipment!! I'm partial to Brunswick stuff myself but like I said, if you showed up at one of our leagues you'd see Radical, DV8, and Brunswick stuff.....all day long! A ton of Hammer balls especially that damn Pink Widow!

Now that being said Storm/Roto Grip is/are probably still the leader overall, but there is a fierce competition going on for sure! There is also an abundance of Motiv stuff being thrown by folks who just want to be different! My Friday morning teammate has a whole 6 ball tournament arsenal of Motiv balls that he throws, but in league play he throws Brunswick!

SO true. Obviously a lot depends on who the PSO is on staff with. In my neck of the woods, southwest VA it use to be mostly EBI with Storm/RG and Motiv. THat was because our PSO was on staff with EBI. Now he has become a regional salesman for EBI and the new PSO is trying to carry everthing... I think Big B brands (especially Radical) have made some runs at the top but Storm/RG and even Motiv are seeming to be the top brands. EBI is trying to hold on, but its hard to gauge their sales because Hammer is really carrying them.. SO who knows after this run shakes out..

Brunswick and Ebi brands are both available cheap on ebay if patient.  Bonus on eby for all of the overseas stuff that is made available is well.

I switched back to Brunswick from Ebi after about 4 years.  Gladly throw either.  Storm/Roto and Global/AMF are the hardest to find deals on.

Buddies has Tactical Ops, Boo Yah, Eon and Respect NIB for $80 right now.  Just have to pick your spots (late summer and black friday).
