I have the green/white Misfit as a benchmark piece since I really don't bowl on heavy oil much and that shows grime easy enough as it is...  Couldn't imagine how the pearl would look after a while.

Are DV8 Balls any good?  How are they when comparing with Storm or Roto Grip?

Yes, they're very good! I pretty much, like many here, throw almost everything however, as soon as I threw my 1st DV8 I was hooked on them.

Now I only throw DV8. Of course since they don't have a med/low-oil ball I will have to throw my Hammer "Nail" but what you've been hearing about the DV8 products is not an exaggeration...they're that good!

In my bag now: Hell Raiser REVENGE, Marauder Madness (best ball ever for me), Too Reckless, and the Misfit...They all serve a purpose in my bag  8)

P.S. I am not affiliated with DV8 or Brunswick at all but I am now a PIMP for DV8  ;D ;) :)

Now throwing pretty much all flavors...

They are fine on house shots when you get the right one for the condition but I wouldn't use them for any tournament shots. I have two (G/W Misfit and HR Terror) I leave both balls at home when I go bowl a tournament. As for how they compare to Storm, I find them to be less predictable and more difficult to tune to meet a specific condition. I have also found I can stay with my Storm balls longer when one is put into play. The DV8 balls were very sensitive to pattern transition. I don't have Roto Grip so I can't help you there.

I'd gladly take any of the DV8 stuff for tournaments without question. Depending on the condition I would only modify the surface as needed depending on what equipment I had available. The Too Reckless was outstanding at Nationals last year, and the Reckless also fit in perfect. The Misfit is such a big hooking ball at entry level that I would only desire something less then that for drier conditions. Misfit pearl may be it.

The three new releases don't really jump out to me as a must have except for the new Misfit. Unfortunately because of the color I will have to wait and hope they make another one in a different color later.

Disagree 100%.

I used primarliy DV8 this year in the PBA and didn't miss a check. 2 of the tournaments I never had to change a ball through the transition. Thank you Hell Raiser Terror and Nightmare! As the DV8 lineup keeps evolving, we'll keep adding key reactions to fill an entire arsenal.

The new stuff is a knockout!
