The 2 new balls, The Ruckus and Dude are up on the site. Oh boy these 2 are gonna compliment the Endless Nightmare and the Maruader Mutiny very well!! Can't wait..

Okay, so I watched the video of the Dude. The graphic reads class 4f hybrid reactive, but the voice over says class 4f solid reactive. Clarity?

Does it really matter? It's mostly marketing jargon...

If I took the time to write the question and post it on a message board that purports itself to be a forum for such discussion, then yes, it matters to me.
I guess your post is another way of saying "I don't know". I'll wait for someone who does.

What is this new surface prep? Royal shine

Just email DV8 and you will get the correct answer. It may just be a slip up in the video. Typically the site and what is written is correct. Or it could be the other way around.
Snakster quick question out of curiosity,
Since the website states:
Finished with Royal Shine, the Dude skids easily through the front and mid-lane revving hard on the backend providing a strong and continuous motion on the backend. The Class 4F coverstock has the right muscle with plenty of length and backend flip on medium-oily to light oil lane conditions
Does it matter if it is solid, pearl or hybrid since it still list the balls intended purpose and it has a box finish of shiny? This is similar to the Too Reckless and it was a highly polished solid.

I don't know, does it? Do people not change surface? Would a change of surface bring the actual composition of the surface to bare? I'm just asking a question because there was a discrepancy in the video. I thought some people here might be clued in. Guess I was wrong. Didn't expect a Spanish Inquisition. Kind of a harmless question. I'll be sure to monitor future posts so that if someone else brings up pearl vs hybrid vs solid I will assure them that it doesn't matter, just read the description about box finish and stop asking questions on a bowling ball forum.

How will the ruckus compare to he brutal and the endless?

I gave you a great suggestion on where to get the correct answer. Had you called or emailed you would know by now. I also asked a legit question out of curiosity if the discription for ball intent matters more or less then if it is a solid, pearl, or hybrid. Would you not buy the ball because it was one or the other? I guess the answer is hurt feelings.

No I would buy it either way if I decide it fits a gap. I simply noticed a discrepancy in the video. So I asked here because I come here to get information (naively?). I thought maybe someone here was a rep or something and might know off the top of their head. In my work, detail matters so I notice such things and discrepancies bother me. Call it a foible.
For the record, I have a birthday coming up and I'm planning on getting myself a ball. Something for medium to medium-light. This ball is now on my short list. Also considering the torrid affair and reign on. Ringer kind of too. Not exactly sure how I'm going to make my ultimate decision. They're not exactly all the same apple. Whether one piece of information is particularly relevant or not, I like to know it. Again a foible. Thank you for suggesting to send them an email.

Most have quick response times. I always appreciate that as a consumer.

They say dude has a dude core. In the pictures it looks exactly like the diva core.am i wrong?
-
What's with the lime color? Its pretty much been the main color in the last 4 high performance ball releases............. Nightmare, Brutal, Endless, Ruckus. I dont know if its just me but im not overlly excited about these 2 releases. Plus the price point has gone up $10.00 on each release. :'(. With that being said the new Brunswick releases coming out soon sound really awesome.
-
The rg in the dude core is higher with a lower diff but a very similar shape.
I bowl in some dry houses, so I can't wait for the Dude!
-
Dude is probably a polished solid
