nightmare
« on: January 11, 2014, 10:20:30 AM »
Buying a nightmare. Great deal . Couldn't pass it up. Right now I have a freight train as a heavy oil ball. But was thinking of using this as another oil ball given its stats. Can anyone give me opinions on this ball and maybe compare it to freight train . Drill layouts ? 15moh speed. 300 revs.  My pro shop uses storm vector so I will probably trust the program .

I used the original Nightmare as my heavier oil. At the time of release, it was the strongest ball in the DV8 line. I have mine drilled with a dual angle of 45 x 5" x 65 which put the pin under my ring finger. I kept it at box finish of 1500. I would think that any way that you drill it, that you can use it as your heavy oil ball. Good luck with it.

I finally drilled the ball I used the storm vector system and basically the layout has the pin slightly to the right and above my ring finger and the center of gravity is in my palm and a very little bit on the negative side this Ball has a lot of reaction. even under a large amount of oil it hooks it has a lot more reaction then my freight train does however it also seems to perform better even after the lane has broken down a little bit where my freight train will burn up the nightmare will still perform a little bit longer I have yet to use it on a sport pattern but I can foresee this being might go to ball for any have your oil patterns my house shot uses a 42 foot pattern and this ball works great as the first ball out of the bag and also works great for the first 3 or 4 games after that I pull out my terror and I have a great combo with these two balls
