Just had my Reckless drilled and ready to go! Nothing fancy. Pin in ring finger, cg stacked below (2.5 pin out). No weight hole. Can't wait to put this on the lane for a test run..

Gotta chime in,my team mate has a reckless. He dosen't have much hand and the ball rolls very controllable for him, almost looks really lazy. when it hits the pins you think it won't do much because of his roll and speed then the ball just unleashes havoc on the pins with all kinds of pin action.  it's an impressive ball for sure!

The harder I try the harder they fall

I have had my Reckless for just about 6 weeks and LOVE IT!! It has worked on many conditions for me and is the 1st ball out of my bag every week. I am amazed at how it does not over react on the lanes. Its drilled very basic pin above ring towards the bridge cg in the palm no weight hole.

I was a little hesitant to buy a DV8 product since I have had no luck with Brunswick but I'm sure glad I took the chance. The ball rolls amazing and I agree when it hits the pins, the carry is above average.

I also have the Misfit which for the money is the most bang for the buck out there and I have a Hell Raiser possibly on the way..

My first child.. Hannah Allison Kiser 4 years old and my little angel!!

Nothing hits like a Hammer!!!!

I also like AMF/900 Global..

While the Reckless is a pearl, it's fairly strong and, like many have said, it should fit that position,
BUTTTTT
if you didn't like the Hy-Road or it wasn't strong enough BECAUSE it was half pearl and half solid. I really wondr if you'd liek the Reckless.

I wonder if you shouldn't stick with a medium solid ball, like the Nomad's replacement, the Outlaw, or a similar Storm ball, or the Reckless's new "older brother", the Too Reckless, which is a solid.

I believe vkowalski1970 got another Solid Nomad to replace the one he got rid of and was his favorite ball.  Maybe he can full us in.

In any case, IMO the cover and OOB surface even with a  weaker drill my 15 lb. Solid Nomad was stronger than a stronger laid out OOB 14 lb. Reckless.  Just for comparison's sake.  Though this is a non-scientific and just a users report that has used both balls on very similar lane conditions.

Charlest, from what I have seen, even though the Too Reckless is a solid, it is still longer and more angular than the Reckless.  Could be the particular drill pattern used, but the Too Reckless may be going in the wrong direction from what he was looking for.

I realized he went with a solid Nomad, but just wanted to put this comment in here for reference.

I haven't seen it but have seen the review in BTM.
Remember the Too R-kless has a gloss polish over the Rough Buff, while the Reckless only has the Rough Buff finish. But BTM, using the same drilling, found  the solid is still earlier than the Reckless.  WHile they're not perfect for determining the correct ball for every bowler, they are pretty consistent when comparing one ball to the other with the same set of testing parameters.

A solid, when using the same core as the pearl, will still, almost always, with the same drill and surface, give and earlier, smoother read than its pearl.

FYI I wasn't too fond of the Too Reckless's review myself, but I was just trying to "keep it in the family". There are many more predictable and proven medium oil solids around than the Too Reckless.

Agreed.  Could have been special circumstances for the reactions I saw.
