Title: The original Reckless
Post by: prmtme on April 22, 2013, 09:48:35 AM
How good is this ball and what can I expect from it . I have a Brutal, Maurader and a Misfit pearl that is drilled for length and calm backend. Will this ball fit well in my arsenal?

My take is that it would fit between the Brutal and the Marauder.  Handle less oil than the Brutal, and probably be a tad more smooth than the Marauder, which for many could be quite strong late.

Maybe those who actually throw them all will have some input.

Typical benchmark ball for me. Rolly but a nice move on the backend. Always the first ball I use. Good ball.

Reckless is pretty soft off the spot compared to everything else DV8.  Similar amount of hook to the Marauder, but earlier and less backend.  If you bowl league on a medium-dry shot with a ton of backend, then the Reckless will be a good match.

Very predictable ball. I tend to keep it at 1000 grit and never use it past game 3 unless on a shorter pattern where I need an earlier response and smoother back end motion. I have never actually used it on a house pattern
