Title: threshold drilling with long pin
Post by: fishbowler on December 29, 2007, 09:15:06 AM
I have a threshold with a 5 1/2 inch pin.  was wondering if anyone has any ideas on a good drill pattern for this.  I was thinking pin one inch above ring and 1/2 inch right, with the cg and CAP right of thumb in the strong position.  the cg and cap are real close and in line.  then put a wt hole in the thumb positive quadrant to bring it back to legal. any advice is appreciated. thanks doug

You can do a longer pin-to-PAP but shorter pin buffer, placing the pin closer to the VAL.  The longer pin will keep you from having too much finger and side weight.  That should give you a pretty flippy reaction (for the Threshold, that is).
