Hello all,
I am looking at getting a new ball. I am a cranker with medium speed. I am looking the 44 or the 357 because surprisingly I have had good results with lower RG balls. I know the 357 gonna have more backend but how do the 2 compair in length. I still want a good pop on the back but not uncontrolable. I know that the drilling will tell alot of this also. Would drilling a 44 to have more on the back be good or the 357 a little tame ont he back? Or is that kinda an eather way thing? Did that make any since, lol.
Thanks, Crossfade

I had a lot more luck with the 44. I think it reads the mids better and still has more backend and more "POP". Just my opinion, but the 44 is twice the ball.

The 44 will provide the added POP when you need to. The 357 is cleaner and longer as it transistions doen the lane. If you expect any help go to the 44. You will have more veratility as you play the lane.

I've got to agree...the 44 is my bench-mark ball and keeps me out of trouble. I drilled my 357 to help control the backend and it still reacts harder to the wet/dry line than the 44.

Ended up getting a 44 drilled it pin over ring and cg swung a tiny bit in, almost stacked. Will be throwing it tonight.

Good move. It will have length, but will be more versatile and controllable compared to the 357.

Yeah I really like it. It took away alost of the over under I was running into and always made a really good move on the back. CArry was great too, I did'nt leave one solid 10 pin all night. Great ball
