Vendettas Phased Out ?
« on: January 06, 2004, 04:29:32 AM »
For this years regional season I was thinking of simplifying things, less balls, fewer drill patterns and no crazy mass bias things. Dynothane seemed to fit. BUT I call both my wholesale suppliers and no Vendettas. First place says they are on back order no idea when they will get them. Second one says they are discontinued.  It looks to me like the thing or thing returns will be to strong for the shorter PBA patterns. Will the Vendettas go into production again or is a new ball or two in the works to take their places?

Hmmm, this is the first I've heard of this.

The Vendetta Line is NOT over.

In fact, don't be surprised if there is a new Vendetta added to the line soon.  It's a successful series and I've noticed a few of the Tour boys throwing a Vendetta Solid at the last regional (during the Tour break).

Unlike other ball companies, D/T doesn't release or replace a whole line at once.  Everything on the website is still available.

Being a PBA member, you can call Dyno-thane directly and get PBA pricing directly.  Try that route.

Thanks Tony
I will try that. I thought that the ball companies only sold to members during the time the balls were introduced and under terms stated in the PBA newsletter.

The PBA purchase offer for the Vendatta Black Solid expired on 9-15-03. Some companies will still sell you a ball or two after the offer has expired, but not always. It never hurts to ask.

I have a Vendetta pearl This just to much. Since the wholesale place told me Vendettas were discontinued I ordered a Thing Returns from them. It arrives today label on the box says THE THING # O3dthe12h508. I'm so pissed because thats why I hadn't ordered anything from them in a long time I kept getting the wrong balls. I open the box to see if I want to drill this ball anyway. Inside the cloth bag is a Vendetta #03dvee12h508. Now what will they say when I want credit for the price difference but want to keep the ball.

Vendetta Pearl Particle.  Just when I said I wasn't going to buy anything else.

I've been wanting to try a pearl particle and I love the two Dynothanes I have so far.

new guy & other guy,I have been impressed with all I have read
about your bowling balls and am thinking of trying a Thing Returns
and my better half is considering a Vendetta, but the costs are high
(U.K.resident)
Thing Returns = $276
Vendetta = $185
These are cheaper than normal as the pro shop owner is a friend
so  i would like to know if the balls are worth this cost or do you know
if we can get them cheaper. Thanks for any reply.
