A second hand Element Carbide is available for me at a low price but I'm not sure whether to buy it.
This one is an international ball and has the specs very much like the original Element except that there is "carbide" added to the soaker coverstock. I wonder what carbide is and would also like to know in what condition should this ball be played.
Anyone has thrown this ball before or has comment about it?
Or, is the original Element a good ball?
Thanks so much!

Looks nice. Should be a particle ball, one with spiky particles for extra grip in the oil.

Yes, exactly.
So carbide is some kind of particle sticking out to grab the lane?
Does it mean that the ball is for heavy oil conditions?
Actually I don't like pearlized balls. If I sand this down will the particle reaction be destroyed?
Thanks!
