How should I drill The Thing I have ordered? Most of my other stuff is drilled pretty strong - between 45 and 70 degrees. See my profile for details on track and arsenal. My style is somewhere between stroker and tweener. I play a pretty direct line, but I feel comfortable doing it from different angles and arrows. I play in 10-20 houses per season - league as well as tournaments. The lane conditions I face during a season are as varied as the number of houses - from spotty dry to flat and thick. Anyone here willing to make a suggestion?

depends on how your Adrenaline and TPC warrior are drilled.
I would drill the Thing to complement either one of the above. So, if your layouts are all strong, I would go with more of label drill or 105 degree drill.

Thanks Jeffrevs,
My general idea for the Thing has been along the lines you suggest. Kind of half a notch under my Warrior which is drilled 70 degrees. Lately though I have read that the Thing is really strong. So I got wondering if it really should be half a notch or so above the Warrior. Would the Thing be as as strong as the Warrior with a 70 degree drilling, I wonder?

jensm,
when I say complement, I mean something like this:
A ball that covers the same amount of boards on the same or similar condition, but has a different ball path. So if you use the Warrior on mediums and it's a strong drill with more of an angular attack, then complement that with the Thing and a smooth arcing drill. So, if the Warrior is say 3 3/8x 3 3/8, then do the the Thing at either 4x5 or 4 1/2x 2 1/2.

Thanks jeffrevs,
True, my Warrior is more angular. Especially when it gets some area. So I will probably follow your advice.
