Been bowling for over 20 years, always wore Lind's
shoes. Was quite interested in the ABS shoes, has
anyone purchased these and what do you think compared
to the other major shoe companies (i.e. Lind's
Dexter) Please advise....

I have the Tour Ultra's and they beat down Linds and Dexter.

Sir Bowl a lot, that sounds like an outstanding
endorsement. Can you fore-tell the durability ??

Big cheese,
I'm thinking about getting a pair of ABS to replace my existing SST6.
I use sole 8 and heel 7(red). I've heard people saying that the heels which come with the shoes a very sticky in comparison. I've never seen the adjust-a-heel before. Is there a equivalent for the red heel of the SST6? I checked on Dyno-Thane website for the heels but not sure how it works? Once you put the velco bit of heel on, does the front, the rubber part still contact the floor? Also, what do you think of the soles/cleats? I like a good slide.
Thank you very much.

I bought a pair about 8 months ago. They are the most comfortable shoes i have ever owned. The heels that come with them don't slide very well. As suggested by others, I bought the Dexter red heel and cut it down to fit and the slide is perfect. The adjust a heel is rather new and I've thought about picking one up, but the success I've had with the dexter heel is just too good to mess with. I'll try the adjust a heel sometime, but I've found the perfect slide for me right now.

I have a pair of tour ultras that have about 21 games on them and the wedge "least slide I believe with all the ridges on it" heel is almost gone.Has any one else experinced this.Looks like ill probably get about 9 more games out of it,I have already noticed a performance decrease and they are starting to squeak very loud.I have never had squeaky shoes befor damit. You guys let me know what your experiences have been.
-
I have had a pair of Tour Ultras for awhile now and will say I am impressed. They are far more comfortable than the SST5's I have and the slide is much more consistent.
Hey DynoTech...what's this adjust a heel? They just resurfaced out approaches and I am having trouble with the silver colored heel being too slick and the white rubber one being too sticky. You have anything I can get to go in between?
I have sold probably 12 or so pairs of these shoes and no complaints from my customers yet!!!

Doug it looks like the 3rd are 4th heal real smooth but it has velcro on the front and you can put a one inch strip on the front of it. It is the same material that comes on the shoe pads.
-
interesting...where can I get one????

Thank you Big Cheese and you other guys' input. It sounds like most of you think that the ABS shoes themselves are better shoes. I guess the best way to do it is to buy a pair plus the adjust-a-heel which should give enough slide. If it fails then I can always get a SST heel, cut and fit on to it instead.
-
Is there a place on-line that sells the Adjust-a-Heel product? I don't trust the local pro shops to carry anything like that.
Thanks.

I had an old pair of Dexter's and I wore the same size in these shoes, if that helps any.

They are true to size I wear a 14 in street shoes and wear a 14 in ABS.
-
Yes they make them in a 14 you have to special order them through one of Dyno-Thane distributors. Your pro-shop might deal with one of these. It took about 2 months to get them but well worth the wait. I have the black tour ultra deluxe.

Has anybody who has previously wore Dexters SST 5 or 6 in wide widths switched to the ABS? Let's say if you wore a 12 wide, what size in the ABS did you buy?
