Dynorooz replacement toe cap question.
« on: March 28, 2007, 01:50:35 AM »
I have a pair of Sport Deluxe S950-03 Black/Gray/White and was wondering if the toe cap can be replaced because it is wearing down from where I drag my foot.  Will this cap work:

My toe cap is the grey hardened rubber not the cream Kevlar one.  Does it matter?

either will work, Kevlar won't or should not have to be replaced, the Gray one will wear out after extended use.

I have a question about this. I just tried to replace the gray one on mine and I'm having some trouble. I thought there was supposed to be velcro under the cap but on mine I see no evidence of velcro. I can't get a good fit with the tan one. It just doesn't sit right on the shoe. The edge where the cap meets the sole wants to pop up and not sit flush. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

For some reason all the grey toe caps that come stock on the Dynorooz shoes do NOT have the velcro on them. This was the case with me...so basically when my grey toe cap wore down, i purchased the Tan Kevlar one, and havent het needed to replace it. Being that it has this Kevlar additave and not just rubber, it is much more durable.

Also, I might add that even with velcro, a couple of places may need a dab of superglue to keep them from falling off... My replacement cap fell off on my last push step and cost me a 300 last season... It was pretty funny to everyone who came down to watch the 12th ball...

    Dave,
we all know its the high torque and burnout effect you have with your first step. Might try Goodyear racing slick on the toe cap, LOL
