AU 79 with the polish knocked off
« on: June 07, 2004, 05:23:22 PM »
The AU 79 comes out of the box 1000 grit polished.  I've been having great success with it on fresh hourse shots and better success than I imagined possible on my sport condition league.  Just for kick and giggles I took a scotch brite pad to the blended coverstock to knock the polish off and Oh Man  . . . the balls mid lane IQ went up drastically and on the back end it recovers with even more "carea" (carry w/ area) :>  I'm going to leave this baby dull!   It's not me, It's the D / T !

Correction.  I actually contacted D / T on this one because their web site say 800 girt polished.  But when I received mine the spec sheet states 1000 grit polished.  In the final processing it is taken from 800 to 1000 grit I was told. I wondered because out of the box the cover it very shiney.
