Title: Help From The Dyno Crowd
Post by: im4x4nut on January 08, 2006, 01:11:07 AM
I am looking for a low Rg, solid coverstock, oil ball.  I need two seperate catagories, reactive & particle. Give me your opinions please.

As with all things, this is my opinion. And we all know, opinions are like butt-holes, we all have one.

If you are talking heavy oil balls then there are two clear choices in the Dynothane line-up:

Pure Energy
Cetrifugal Mass

I think the Vendetta Maxx is also an option... isn't it?

Yes the Maxx is also an option, but I prefer the Pure over the Maxx.

Goof1073--Why the Pure over the Maxx on the same lane condition?  Wondering as BTM numbers give the Pure the edge in every catagory. Cover or other areas?

On the conditions that I've used both balls I always find the Pure to be more versatile than the Maxx.  Ofcourse the two are drilled differently so I know that has a major factor in the reaction.  But all things being equal I like the coverstock / core combo of the Pure better.  Hard to explain really...

I would venture a guess that the Pure Energy probably carries a bit better... the Maxx isn't terribly forgiving if you miss by a little, but hye that's kinda good for me as it helps you to be more consistent

PE has a stronger cover than the Maxx, the core seems to be stronger as well, greater recovery than the Maxx.
