« on: June 09, 2005, 03:35:55 PM »
Since DT put out 3 high end high hooking balls, i was wondering what would be next? i would love to see something for light oil that has a similar reaction to the crisis pearl. so whats next?

I was thinking the same thing hcskater. I have a Crisis Pearl, but it has never been dry enough for me to use it, and I don't want to adjust the surface because that's what i bought the ball for. Honestly, I think the Crisis Pearl was designed for Dry(Desert Conditions). I hope D/T comes out with something less aggressive than The Thing Returns or Vendetta pearl for light oil, but stronger than the Crisis Pearl.

They already have the Barrage and Crisis (non-pearl).

I took the elevator to the top floor of the D/T HeadQuarters building,..that's where Research and Development is located,...walked up to the door, swiped my security badge,..and was denied access.  The codes have been changed,..sign on the door says that entry has been restriced to the "higher-ups",...

Jim
This is easy to remember...."HOOK SELLS"
This should become the standard answer. By the way the new code is 497...any idea why?

the vendetta pearl is REALLY weak.  my dad has one, and that ball takes some serious dry to make flip...maybe its time for a new line???

Since the Crisis Pearl has, I believe, an Accu-Tread-type coverstock, I hardly think it would ever work on dry/desert conditions, without high speed, low revs or special drillings and special cover preps..

I think it is very good  and is the DT positioning, between the Vendetta Pearl and the Barrage. The Vendetta Pearl is probably the same coverstock with a slightly stronger core;so, the Crisi pearl has to fit there.

I beg to differ Charlest. I have a Crisis Pearl and on light oil, I can barely get the ball to move 2 boards, I have average speed and the ball is drilled aggressive. I may have to dull the cover to try to get the ball to read the lanes alot sooner.
