Quick question
« on: February 02, 2005, 03:08:11 PM »
I was the winner of Tony's ball giveaway and am recieving a 14 pound element. I know what to expect from the ball, but was wondering what you guys think the best method would be to go about getting a 15 pound element? I was thinking the proshop would be the best place, but was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions that do not involve shipping? I live in the Detroit area if that helps any.

Your first move should be to check with your pro shop, who will contact their supplier to see if they have any 15 lb Elements ... if they do, they should be able to swap.  However, as far as I know the ball is discontiued, so the supplier may not have any in stock.

If that doesn't work, I think that whatever you do will involve shipping.

First, I would tell Tony not to ship the ball to me.

Then, I would sell the 14# ball, either here or on eBay.  Let Tony ship the ball to the buyer (after you receive payment, of course).

Then I'd go buy whatever I wanted.  Right now, it would probably be the D/T Energy.

The problem with that would be that i would be giving tony more of a hassle than it is worth, which wouldn't really make sense as he is paying for shipping to me also, including the free ball.

I must be missing something...

You won a ball, which Tony is happy to ship to you.

Instead of shipping it to you, you ask him to hold onto it for a few days, while you find a buyer.

After you sell the ball, you give Tony the buyer's address.  He ships the ball to the buyer; he ships nothing to you.

Why should Tony care who he ships the ball to? He's (basically) out the same amount of time and money, no...
