Dyno-thane's New Ball - THE ENERGY - Now Online
« on: January 09, 2005, 06:07:34 PM »
Sorry for the delay folks... and the accidental info leak.

The latest ball release from Dyno-thane, THE ENERGY, featuring an all-new heavy-flipping core and a new flavor of Soaker reactive coverstock, Pearlized Soaker ATC, All Terrain Cover.

Pics and specs on Dyno-thane's Website.

This ball will be shipping to distributors this week, you should be able to find this ball in pro shops the following week.  Post your questions here.  The DT crew will chime in when available.

After the success of The Thing Lives, THE ENERGY has a tough act to follow.  But early reports are very promising.

How will the pearlized Soaker ATC differ from "plain" pearlized Soaker, as on the Thing Returns?

Greg,

this ball seems way more versatile than the Au79...different cover...different core....

It is what it is.

During the testing my Energy was more continuous and sooner than the Au79. It was also significantly stronger all round. It did not roll out when the Au79 did thus I was able to cover more boards and it retained its Energy longer.

Tony...

can we get the Energy and the Crisis Pearl added to the reaction comparason charts for Max line and Performance Line.

Thanks.

Good idea.  We'll get on that.

I'm pretty jazzed up about this core.  I've always liked the dual flip block cores.  The Ebonite Nitro/R2 was one of my favorites, I bought three of them.  This reminds me a little of that by the look of it.  And the pearlized Soaker has been very good to me... The Thing Returns and Element Au79 both have been successful for me.

Here's the way it was told to me. When the ball is released, the core is standing up giving length and free-revving.  When it flips in the backends the core lays down and drives hard through the pindeck.

I haven't thrown it yet, but I'm thinking The Energy will go as far as the Element Au79, but will recover harder.  I really need to throw one of these.

Hey Phil... send me a case, k?  Thanks bunches!

Tony

So... should this ball be drilled in a particular way (like where the PIN and CG are put) to enable the core to be in this specific position during the first part of the lane and the last part of the lane? Make sense???

I think I need to change it.  It comes 600-grit PLUS polish... but it doesn;t say that.

I'll fix it now.

Maybe one of the DT HQ guys will chime in.
