Title: Roto Grip, Dyno-thane,or Visionary
Post by: PikevilleBwl on February 08, 2004, 08:21:32 PM
Okay Everyone out there here is your chance to tell me what I need...I am trying to decied on what company to throw. I am a down and in bowler and I also can play the deep hooking shot. I am looking for a company that there balls will hit and I will be happy. If it don't hit well I won't throw it. Give me a arsenal of 4 balls from each or one of the companys and let me know. I throw about 16 mph.

I would suggest you do what I'm doing..........sample balls from companies you're interested in (I'd choose medium condition balls) ....test them yourself and put together your own parameters to determine what you like best....

I would suggest used balls for $$ sake....

Then, whatever company you choose, you already have your medium condition ball, now build your arsenal around it........

pike, you'd have a hard timing doing any better than hammer right now.  they have three price points, and each one (or part of one) could build your arsenal.

one's i like the most because i've thrown:  vicious particle, original vicious

one's i've seen and loved:  sling blade, blade reactive, power diesel, diesel reactive pearl, vicious attack

you can pick up a power diesel and buddiesproshop.com for $90 i think . . . i guarantee you'd love it!!!

I'm doing what JeffRevs suggested.  I started out using Visionary and then started trying Lane #1, RotoGrip and DynoThane.  What I've found out so far is that not all of the balls work for me/my style.  Some of the ones that others swear by, I swear at, and some that I've heard others did not like, work well for me.  Try picking up some used ones to find out how they work for you first.  They are all excellent companies with good product lines.
