Vendetta Particle Cover Longevity Question
« on: November 11, 2003, 05:50:46 PM »
I just bought this ball NIB and it has impressed me thus far.  I pull the oil from the cover using Track's Clean N Dull each night after use.  I am just curious how many games people have on theirs, and what their cleaning habits are for this ball.  Has anyone's Vendetta Particle died?  If so, after approx. how many games and were you able to bring it back to life?

Thanks

Well, like most lighter load particles, they do die.  Since it is not a heavy load, keeping it clean, rejuvenating or using Dawn helps some and resurfacing helps some. So they aren't gone after 60-80 games.  But after 180-200, even with resurfacings and work, you're on borrowed time.

I think I explained this before: this coverstock is very good, better than most, because it is a lite load -- thus it tends to go 120 or so without needing resurfacing or major work.  It can be resurfaced to bring it back most of the way -- but somewhere after 200-240 games, you are on borrowed time.
