The thing Returns
« on: October 04, 2004, 03:08:22 PM »

I'm having some troble with my thing returns it has hooked before and it sill does but im having problems getting a good carry. I play second arrow straight and in keep it simple and ez is how i think. I have bowled well with this ball before, but now it hits the pocket weak its drilled for Pin above ring Mb in the palm under the ring about 2.5 inches, no weight hole, factory finish. I have found out they changed the oil pattern in the house i bowl in because of a 300 i was out for that week i dident know at the time, but any way they only added more oil to the center of the lane witch i dident think would effect me much.

I have these balls to choose from
brunswick monster frenzy (stacked)
Brunswick intense inferno (pin above ring)
dyno thane the thing ( stacked )
Dyno thane the thing Returns (pin above ring)

What on earth should i do lol..... lane conditions are medium oil heaver in the center of the lane as-normal.
Im a power stroker
15 mph
15 rev or so

The Thing should handle the most oil of the balls you listed.  A slight scuff of the cover should help as well.  I put my Thing on a Haus machine for a minute or so to remove the polish, but not really dull the cover.  I think the ball reacts best for me at this condition.
