Anomaly
« on: February 01, 2004, 11:49:02 PM »
I just sold the Anomaly to my Sister, She was using a number of brunswick and storm balls and having problems with deflection. So we tried her on the Anomaly (14lb) and she has no problems with deflection, This thing hooks and drives the pocket.

Just curious if anyone else has seen problems with the lower weighted balls or not.

I'm switching from 15 lbs to 14 lbs. I have only one drilled so far, a Barrage, the weakest of the DT line and I still get stone 9-pins.  I do throw the ball a little harder though.

I'm having a few other 14 lb balls drilled today in fact, an Anomaly and a Thing Returns.  I seriously doubt I'll have problems with deflection with that balls.

I've been throwing 14lbs for a few years now, and I just recently got a Thing.

One word: WOW!

This ball gets down the lane very well, as long as there's at least some oil in the heads, reads the mids exceptionally well, and makes a strong, yet smooth move on the backend, and the hit is outstanding, sending as many messengers as you could want, plus keeping the pins low for excellent mix and carry. If what they say about this coverstock is true, it can only get better, as I've only bowled about 10 games with it.

I also own a V2 Particle and an SS Pearl. I still leave my share of 9's from outside lines. The only time I have any deflection problems is from left of 4th arrow, but that's probably my lack-of-hand showing there.
