Dyno-thane Performance Charts
« on: September 29, 2004, 03:58:13 AM »
By popular request, we've added some performance charts to the website.  A neat side-by-side comparison of the equipment separated by MAX Performance, HIGH Performance and the Performance lines.

For starters, see the MAX Performance

Whatchu guys think?

Looks nice Tony.  Like Storms and Big B's.  But I think it's needed.  I like your or their explanation of how DT is different. " With the cost of bowling on the rise, it is becoming more and more difficult to justify paying the premiums for a new high-end ball. If the average ball company had it their way, every ball would lose performance every few months sending the bowler to buy the latest and greatest mega-dollar ball.

Dyno-thane has a different approach. By producing a better product that lasts longer, D/T aims to capture more of the bowler's business when it comes not to replacing, but building an arsenal.

Not to side track to much but is Steve Jaros aka JarMan on staff this year?

Thanks for the performance charts, I was just thinking about giving Dyno-Thane a try, and this is an excellent tool for me to use.  More companies need to make something like that more available.

I'd like to see the older balls included on those too, ie element, VP, etc... thats just me. O and I would like the old ball reaction expectations updated to match the new versions so there would be a basis of comparison... like the element is a 20 out of 25 on the back end etc...

Tony, much more user-friendly than the previous charts... I think the overlap between ball lines was an excellent decision as well. Did we leave off the Vendetta Particle on purpose because it would conflict with a Max Performance ball? I can see that happening... Perhaps another set of charts that match balls to their conditions like the old charts did would help people build arsenals better? I am getting a lot of people on the MS Gulf Coast turned on to Dynothane but not too many people I know use a Thing Returns on heavy oil which I admit is rare here, however, on a medium house shot it is almost unbeatable. I haven't logged a game under 230 since leagues have started a month ago with mine...

Everyone who knows me knows that I think the Vendetta Particle is the best ball with the D/T logo.  Considering the price of the ball, it's the best bang for the buck.

But I'll let the D/T headquarters chime in why it was left off the performance charts, along with the original Vendetta and Element.

Windoor,..just for fun some day,..I would suggest during a slack afternoon at your local center,..ask them if they have a bowling ramp,..they are sometimes used for wheelchair bowlers and/or kids,....try and bowl a cou[ple games with your favorite balls,...let the balls fall as natural as possible, no pushing, and you'll be amazed at what you see. Once ya get the hang of it,..start moving the pin/cg around to different starting positions,..you can hook, go straight, or back the ball up,..just by shifting the pin,..also use a few different surfaces and watch the different reactions down the lane....it's pretty tough,..but fun..
